Summer Outdoor Cinema at Westside
Una is working on our action plan. Laura has set meetings with the ArtSmart program director at LMU. Pauline has continued pursuing campus greening possibilities. Brad is meditating on meditation. And Sarah H is working with the lawyers on our tax-exempt charitable entity status.
But the big news is that Sarah H, Laura and I have had several meetings aimed at gearing up for an OUTDOOR SUMMER MOVIE SERIES AT WESTSIDE. We are looking into the possibility of using the school-yard to host a series of outdoor, Friday and/or Saturday night screenings to raise funds for the school. A friend of ours was the General Manger of Moonlight Cinema, a successful outdoor movie company in Australia, and she now lives in LA. She’s been terrific in helping us to get this started. We think a summer film series could build important exposure for the school, raise serious funds for our planned education enhancements and be REALLY, REALLY FUN!
I’m not going to say, “let me know if anyone is interested in helping out,” because you’re all going to be helping out!!
